De Haro

Street

This rental property garden backs onto a rare wild open space on one of San Francisco’s hilltops. It was a great opportunity to do a habitat garden to extend the reach of the natural environment that is just over the fence. Our great and willing client allowed us to plant natives and wanted to combine that approach with succulents. We obliged. Now he frequently finds and photographs native butterflies resting on the native plants in the south facing, sheltered garden. New renters brought in the classic plastic chairs which have a surprising presence.
